Exactly. It says the same thing on last year's page.

Yup, there will be a content update just like last year, and the year before, and the year before... Its silly to think otherwise. Its the anniversary people!

Is it just me, or are the Minis scheduled to come out a few days too early? According to the site they start popping out on the 23rd this year when I thought the earliest they should be popping out is the 26th.

Doesn't show up on the home page of GWGuru as one of the ten most recent created threads. Those threads get lots of attention, and hiding it from that is a great way to get people to not care.
Guild Wars is a dying game and has a dying community. Guild Wars 2 has a lot of speculation surrounding it and a crowd that thrives on taking the smallest bits of information and blowing them into astronomical ideas. It should be obvious which of the two is going to have a more flourishing response to a viral campaign (not that it shouldn't have been more initially focused here, since this is the game that the update actually applies to).

There wasn't any content first and second anniversaries actually, and third was just deldrimor weapons. It's pretty obvious they are working on content, but it's looking less like it'll be done in time for the anniversary.

There was a HUGE content update for the 1st anniversary, its called Guild Wars Factions, and you had to pay for that content. Though you are right, the second anniversary only had new Minis, and if you dont consider Factions as part of the content package for the 1st anniversary, then all the 1st one had was minis as well.

To clarify, the fifth year minis will appear on the creation date of five year old characters. We put the date a bit earlier on the website to cover all characters created in the E3 for Everyone event.

Regardless of the date on the website, the minis won't show up until characters turn 5.

Wait, now you have confused me a little bit more! Wasnt E34E back in like 03 or 04, I forget when actually was it was so long ago. Anyways, what would E34E have to do with when we get our minis? I am mostly curious because I took part in E34E and have been using the same name/character ever since (excluding the char wipes from after BWEs). I have a feeling what you meant was that it is to try and cover all characters created in the 24 hour early access granted to those that took part in BWEs. Am I correct in thinking that Emily? (Sorry if it seems like im giving you a hard time just trying to clear things up)

What matters is the creation date. If your character was created during one of the early access weekends prior to the public launch of Guild Wars, then that character will get a Miniature when the character turns 5 years old.

I don't get my Year 5 mini until summer, on the anniversary of my first character's creation date.
